BMS offers informal meetings for our female (PhD) students, with the intention of exchanging experiences and mutual assistance. Special „Sophia Kovalevskaya Colloquia“ (as a part of the regular MATH+ Friday) features women mathematicians, both senior and junior, who can be seen as successful role models. The speaker will share her experience as a women mathematician with the female part of the audience during the „Kovalevskaya Lunch“.

Unione Matematica Italiana is proud to announce an event which will take place on May 12th from 9 a.m. to 12.30 a.m. in Aula Magna, Università di Roma La Sapienza .

This is a part of  "Festa della matematica: due giorni con e per Ingrid Daubechies", which displays a scientific meeting organized by Dipartimento di Matematica G. Castelnuovo in the afternoon of May 11th and the award to prof. Ingrid Daubechies of the Doctorate Honoris Causa, on Friday 12 at 11.30 a.m.

Celebrating Women in Mathematics CWinM is a hybrid international event based in Rio de Janeiro, organized by Dynamic Women group. 

It is an event plenty of short talks, minicourse, plenary talks, round table, movie exhibition, and other activities, involving female mathematicians as well as all the society members interested in gender issues in STEM areas.

In this 2h event female early career researchers and PhD students in Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics at Warwick present their research or contributions of female researchers in short three minute presentations with no or as little equations and slides as possible.

Meeting with Maria de Natividade, from Agostinho Neto University.

Maria de Natividade coordinates the 1st edition of a Master in Mathematics at the Agostinho Neto University, which is also the first Master in Mathematics in Angola. 

Tutam Tutam is a free two day long mathematics festival open to public(7+) to be held at Galatasaray University, Istanbul. In addition to talks, workshops and screenings at dedicated times, the event consists of 20 acitivity stands, 8 game stands, 3 exhibitions(Imaginary, Remember Maryam Mirzakhani, Geometry Daily), a board game area, 2 book stands and a treasure hunt available all day.

To celebrate the International Day of Women in Mathematics and the end of the UCD Postgraduate Workshop, the UCD School of Mathematics and Statistics Outreach Committee is organising a Table Quiz for postgraduate students and postdocs. The quiz will take place on Thursday 12th May at 6pm at the UCD student club (Clubhouse). In addition, a short video will be presented about the life and work of Alice Roth, who made significant contributions in Complex Analysis and Approximation Theory.

The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen invites all students and staff to participate in an event to celebrate the "Women in Mathematics Day”.

Bounds for subsets of Fnp×FnpFpn×Fpn without L-shaped configurations

Abstract: I will discuss the difficult problem of proving reasonable bounds in the multidimensional generalization of Szemer\’edi’s theorem and describe a proof of such bounds for sets lacking nontrivial configurations of the form $(x,y), (x,y+z), (x,y+2z), (x+z,y)$ in the finite field model setting.

The "Tea Time with Women in Mathematics" is a series of events organized by the gender equality committee of the Mathematics department of Bonn. At the approximately three-hour events, women - from students to professors - have the opportunity to network over a cup of tea. A wide variety of topics, such as studies and careers, but also life outside of the university, are discussed in face-to-face conversations. On May 21, event we will be talking about scientific research an how to start a career in STEM. Multiple speakers will talk about their experiences.
