In this event we celebrate the work in mathematics done by women from Instituto de Matemática Aplicada San Luis (IMASL) and from the Math Department of Universidad Nacional de San Luis. For this, our event consists of two plenary conferences, given by Professors, and four invited talks, given by Ph.D. students. All of the speakers are part of a least one of the two institutions mentioned.

The event is held in person, at the facilities of IMASL, on May 12th from 9:30 to 12 am and from 2:30 to 4:30 pm (all times are UTC -3).

Hybrid event: on Zoom and in person at the Department of Mathematics, University of Oslo.

The University of Wollongong Mathematics and Statistics Society, in collaboration with the School of Mathematics and Applied Statistics, the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences and the Australian Mathematical Society Women in Mathematics Special interest Groups (WIMSIG), are hosting a public lecture to celebrate May12.

Mesa de discussão no dia 30 de maio em homenagem ao dia internacional da mulher matemática. O tema da mesa é Meninas, Mulheres, produções em Matemática e afins. Teremos a participação de três matemáticas convidadas para debater sobre o assunto. Será um evento presencial com possibilidade de transmissão pelo canal do YouTube do canal Elas nas Exatas.

We are pleased to announce the fourth edition of the "Kinetic Theory Seminar.” 

The Colóquio do IME exists since 2019 and organizes monthly one-hour talks by established mathematicians, statisticians and computer scientists at the University of São Paulo, in Brazil. For this May 12, we have invited Yoshiko Wakabayashi to give a talk on problems related to the work by the 2022 Fields Medallist Maryna Viazovska.

Speaker:  Prof Sudesh Kaur Kahanduja

Title of the talk: On the life and work of Maryam Mirzakhani.

The talk will be followed by a movie screening to inspire young mathematicians.

The CRC 1114 proudly participates in promoting the International Day of Women in Mathematics at Freie Universität. Highlight of this will be the theatre play "Diving into Math with Emmy Noether".
