The Institute of Mathematics (IMath) at the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) joins the global May12 initiative with a two-part celebration:
Poster Exhibit : Women in IMath (May 11–15)
A week-long curated display at the Math Building (First Floor Area) featuring academic posters and short personal profiles of women researchers across different research groups within the IMath.
O 1º Seminário Inspirando Gerações: Mulheres que Transformaram a Matemática, alinhado ao Dia Nacional da Matemática, tem como propósito promover a valorização das contribuições femininas para o desenvolvimento da matemática ao longo da história, evidenciando trajetórias marcadas por superação, inovação e resistência. Apesar dos avanços no campo científico, a participação feminina na matemática ainda enfrenta desafios relacionados à desigualdade de oportunidades e à baixa representatividade.
Evento realizado por el Instituto de Matemáticas de la PUCV, para incentivar y visibilizar a mujeres y niñas a estudiar carreras en Matemáticas.

A career guidance event for junior high and high school girls, helping them discover the wonders of mathematics. Co-hosted by Kavli IPMU, steAm Inc. and Girls Unlimited Program.
Program:
1. Movie screening and Panel Discussion (10:30am - 12:30pm): Screening of "Secrets of the Surface: The Mathematical Vision of Maryam Mirzakhani" (with Japanese subtitles), followed by a panel discussion with five experts.
2. Workshop (10:30am - 4:30pm): Participants can try out puzzles and technologies involving mathematics.
Publication of a novel about renowned female mathematicians for children aged 7 to 9. Written in Valencian by two female mathematicians. It is based on the virtual escape room about women mathematicians: https://forms.gle/nHkmfZLbuXmvso4M6
We will watch together a 20 minute video from Quanta magazine's YouTube channel, about the Breakthroughs of Mathematics in 2025. This will be followed by a light research related presentation. In the last hour we will play a math-oriented trivia game and give presents to winners.
The Second Women in STEM Forum in Southern Chihuahua, organized by the Tecnológico Nacional de México – Instituto Tecnológico de Ciudad Jiménez in collaboration with the Latin American research group Engineering Education from Mathematics Education (FIME), is held within the framework of May12 – International Women in Mathematics Day.
The Tullio Levi-Civita Department of Mathematics at the University of Padua is hosting two days dedicated to (young) women in Mathematics on Friday, May 15th, and Saturday, May 16th. The event features workshops exploring the world of mathematics for 160 girls from primary schools, as well as various activities for accompanying adults. The proposed workshops do not require any specific prerequisites or mathematical skills but are designed to stimulate curiosity and creative exploration of mathematics.
