The Tunisian Women Mathematicians Association (TWMA) plans to celebrate the day dedicated to women mathematicians in May at the Faculty of Sciences in Tunis by organizing a mathematical day on May 17, 2024.
We would be delighted to welcome the participation of anyone interested in mathematical research (men and women).
Important dates to note:
The Egyptian Association of Women in Mathematics will organize a Hybird event on May 13 to celebrate the international day of women in mathematics.
The event is thought for primary, lower secondary and upper secondary school teachers but it is also open to anyone who is interested. Alice Milani and Roberto Natalini will present two comics about the story of Sofia Kovalevskaja and Maryam Mirzakhani and Chiara Giberti will give a lecture on the topic "Gender gap in mathematics".
A registration is needed.
This conference is dedicated to exploring Nonlinear Analysis and the profound heritage of Ancient Indian Mathematics. It serves as a platform for knowledge exchange among esteemed academicians and researchers, emphasizing the practical application of mathematical techniques to address real-world challenges. Encompassing Nonlinear Analysis, Pure and Applied Mathematics, the conference provides a global platform for emerging researchers to showcase insights, fostering cross-disciplinary dialogues on the relevance of Ancient Indian Mathematics.
The event consists of a survey talk given by Prof.Cristiana De Filippis of the University of Parma, Italy, on "Hybrid perturbations in elliptic regularity", with an opening address about Celebrating Women in Mathematics, in honour of Maryam Mirzakhani, given by Prof. Isaubeau Birindelli, of the University of Rome Sapienza.
On the occasion of the birthday of Iranian mathematician, Maryam Mirzakhani, a celebration was held at Tarbiat Modares University of Iran (Women's Day in Mathematics).
This meeting was held in person on the afternoon of May 13, 2023. Also, some speakers sent video messages for the ceremony.

On the occasion of International Women's Day in Mathematics, which is held on May 12th every year, the National Higher School of Mathematics is organizing a scientific event to celebrate this occasion next Tuesday may 16th, starting at 2:30 pm. This event will be completely organized by women mathematicians, students, and faculty staff. There will be conferences and motivational messages from Algerian women mathematicians abroad. Please refer to the attached program for more details.
The conference “Women in Mathematics” will be held at the Sobolev Institute of Mathematics on May 27-28, 2023. The conference is organized in honor of the International Women in Mathematics Day celebrated on May 12. Within the framework of the conference, women will give scientific talks on various areas of mathematics. Representatives of various chairs of the Department of Mechanics and Mathematics of Novosibirsk State University will take part in the conference.
