Women's challenges in Mathematics

A meeting is held on the occasion of 12 May at Shiraz University. At first, Mr. Shahin Rahimi presented a talk on the life history of some women's in mathematics, from Hypatia to Maryam Mirzakhani. Then the students discussed their challenges and prospects concerning the study and work in mathematics. After that Dr. Masoumeh Faghih Ahmadi shared some of her experiences and challenges related to her academic life with the audience. The meeting concluded with exhibiting some parts of the movie "the secrets of the surface: the mathematical vision of Maryam Mirzakhani" and appreciating the contributions of two female math professors and some top female students.
