Group of Slovak female mathematicians will meet on-line in a free discussion about their careers and future prospects to perform scientific research in post-corona environment. What are the "losses and findings" caused by the pandemic?

How do you like mathematics? Mathematicians in L’Aquila join the chorus of the worldwide events that during May 2020 will celebrate the figure and the work of Maryam Mirzakani, with an engaging journey among Women in Mathematics.

This general audience trivia game about mathematics aims to celebrate May 12 in a unique and fun way. Featuring special guest Amie Wilkinson, participants will explore questions such about mathematics, learning what mathematicians do and why.
 

The game takes place at 17:00 (Paris time), lasts about 45 minutes and uses "Kahoot". It will be broadcasted via Zoom, and the link will be available via the website:

El 12 de mayo celebramos el Día Internacional de las Mujeres en Matemáticas, esta fecha fue designada en honor al nacimiento de la matemática iraní Maryam Mirzakhani, única mujer en recibir la Medalla Fields por sus importantes aportaciones en el estudio de los espacios de moduli de las superficies de Riemann, esto sucedió en 2014.

Join us for an inspiring film and discussion:

1. View the film at your convenience (running time approx. one hour).
   "Secrets of the Surface: The Mathematical Vision of Maryam Mirzakhani"
    
2. Join the informal Zoom discussion where Asma Hassannezhad, an Iranian woman in mathematics, and attendees will discuss the film and share their perspectives.

We will be holding a virtual movie night for the Mathematics and Computer Science students of Lady Margaret Hall, University of Oxford.

We project the movie Secrets of the Surface, and after that our researchers Ramón Flores e Isabel Fernández will talk about the film and related topics with the assistants, that can participate and propose questions in the chat.
