The Women Mathematicians Day event will be held on Saturday, May 10th at 13:00 in the Middle East Technical University, Department of Mathematics, Tosun Terzioğlu Seminar Room (M203). In our event, Çukurova University, Department of Mathematics faculty member Professor Gonca Ayık will give a speech titled “The World of Mathematics in our History of the Republic”, followed by a panel with 5 women mathematicians at the beginning of their careers.
Panel Discussion: Women Pioneers Who Shaped Mathematics in Serbia
This panel discussion celebrates the groundbreaking contributions of women who paved the way for future generations in the field of mathematics in Serbia. The session will open with a brief overview of the history of women in mathematics in Serbia, highlighting key moments and milestones in their journey toward academic and professional recognition.
The Tullio Levi-Civita Department of Mathematics at the University of Padua is hosting two days dedicated to (young) women in Mathematics on Friday, May 16th, and Saturday, May 17th. The event features workshops exploring the world of mathematics for 120 girls from primary schools, as well as various activities for accompanying adults. The proposed workshops do not require any specific prerequisites or mathematical skills but are designed to stimulate curiosity and creative exploration of mathematics.
We are organizing a two-day long colloquium series. The colloquium series will be in hybrid mode. We will have six speakers. All the speakers are female and they will deliver their talks aiming the graduate students.
It is a competition for groups of high school youths, groups of 2, 3, or 4 participants, one of them, must be female. Each group must solve 3 or 4 problems of mathematics. During the competition, accompanying people (such as teacher, parents, freinds) are invited to see a movie, and to talk about experiencies of working in Math. After the competition, all students are invited to a relax space, where they find puzzles and board games,
Uniform Convergence is a one-woman play, written and performed by mathematician Corrine Yap (SLMath Spring 2025 SLMath S. Della Pietra Postdoctoral Fellow in the Extremal Combinatorics & Probability and Statistics of Discrete Structures programs).

Esta actividad consiste en que estudiantes de tres liceos de la región de Valparaíso diseñen infografías sobre mujeres matemáticas. En total, se diseñarán ocho infografías de mujeres que han aportado a la disciplina en diferente temporalidad, así como también, mujeres matemáticas latinoamericanas.
La serie de infografías será expuesta en el Museo de Historia Natural de Valparaíso el día jueves 15 de mayo de 2025.

The Maths and Stats Society at UOW will be organising a trivia event open to all students and staff to celebrate WIM2025. The trivia questions will be centered around women in mathematics topic.
