Women in Mathematics Day In Romania

The aim of the event is to celebrate and present the community of Women in Mathematics, creating a welcoming environment, open to everyone.
The day will feature research presentations and outreach talks designed to be accessible to a broad, non-expert audience, followed by a round table, dedicated to sharing experiences and open the dialogue with the audience.

O IV Workshop de Mulheres na Matemática – WMM acontecerá nos dias 13 a 15 de maio de 2026 na Universidade Federal de Rural de Pernambuco – PE, no Departamento de Matemática da UFRPE. O evento reunirá pesquisadoras com relevantes contribuições matemáticas, proporcionando a divulgação científica e valorizando a pesquisa em matemática realizada por mulheres, como também despertará o interesse para questões de gênero.

Second Math-red Meeting “Visible Mathematics: A Look at the Work and Contributions of Women in Mathematics and STEM”.

This meeting aims to promote the participation and empowerment of women in the field of mathematics, bringing together experts, students, and professionals to share experiences and knowledge.

The event will feature lectures and panel discussions on relevant topics in mathematics and its application in different areas.

Some of the topics to be addressed are:

London Hopper Colloquium

The London Hopper is for academic researchers across the UK who are building a career in computing. 

Grace Hopper was an American mathematician and rear admiral in the U.S. Navy who was a pioneer in developing computer technology. Before joining the Navy, Hopper earned a Ph.D. in both mathematics and mathematical physics from Yale University and was a professor of mathematics at Vassar College.
