Cette exposition retrace le parcours atypique de Sophie Germain, mathématicienne du XIX^e siècle.

À une époque où l’accès aux grandes écoles était réservé aux hommes, Sophie Germain emprunte le nom masculin de Monsieur Le Blanc pour correspondre avec les mathématiciens les plus importants de son époque, comme Joseph Louis Lagrange ou Carl Friedrich Gauss. Impressionnés par son talent, ils l’encouragent à se consacrer à sa passion pour les mathématiques, même quand elle finit par dévoiler sa véritable identité.

We made a poster with photos and some data of the women who are attached to the Institute of Mathematics at UNAM, campus Juriquilla.

In celebration of the International Day of Women in Mathematics, the documentary A Woman’s Place: The Inexact Female Paths in the Exact Sciences will be screened on May 12 at UFPR (room PA 108). The event includes a film screening, discussion, and coffee session.

on the ground floor of the Biblioteks- und Seminarzentrum, Josef-Martin-Weg 64, in celebration of the International Day of Women in Mathematics.

May 12 is celebrated as the International Day of Women in Mathematics, a day to highlight and recognize the fundamental role of women in the field of mathematics.

At the FME Library, we join this commemoration with a special selection of books dedicated to women mathematicians — including inspiring biographies, popular science works, and other readings that explore gender perspectives in science and mathematics.

Durante la semana del 12 de mayo en el hall de entrada del Departamento de Matemática y Estadística se mostrarán los cómics "Historias de muejres matemáticas", donde se cuenta la historia de Sophie Germain, Maryam Mirzakhani y Hypatia.

On the occasion of the International Women in Mathematics Day - May 12, the Department of Mathematics of the University of Bologna will host the exhibition

Women of Mathematics from around the world. A gallery of portraits.

The exhibition will be open to the public from May 13 to May 29 during the department's opening hours (Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM – 8:45 PM).

2. Seminar : Prime producing polynomials by one of the faculty of School of Mathematics, IISER TVM

3. Movie Screening: A public screening of the movies on 5 th May 2025 at 9:30 PM IST

From May 8th until May 30th 2025, the institute of research in mathematics and physics of the Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium), is hosting the "Remember Maryam Mirzakhani" Exhibition. Details of the exhibition can be found below (in French).
